Indian Men's Hockey Team Defender Harmanpreet Singh was charmed to hear that he has been designated for the Arjuna Award, when Hockey India reported the selections on Tuesday. The Indian Women's Hockey Team Captain Rani has been selected for the renowned Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award while her comrades Vandana Katariya, Monika and Harmanpreet Singh have been assigned for the Arjuna Award. 

"I was amazingly charmed to hear the news. It's a respect to be selected for the Arjuna Award and I am certain the designation will persuade me to perform shockingly better in the forthcoming years. We all have gotten colossal help from Hockey India throughout the years and I was incredibly glad to realize that Rani has been designated for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award and Vandana Katariya and Monika have been named for the Arjuna Award. They have set up some splendid exhibitions in the ongoing past and I might want to stretch out my congrats to them," said the 24-year-old. 

The dragflick sensation Harmanpreet Singh ventured up his job in the group and carried the duty of Vice Captain easily. As a safeguard dragflicker, he was instrumental in the group's triumphant presentation in the FIH Series Finals in Odisha. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Test Event, he captained the group to triumph without Manpreet Singh who was refreshed for the competition.
